1. Who We Are

Sports Memorabilia Appraisers provides appraisal services. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form, we collect what you type into it. That is normally your name, your email address, your phone number, and the details of the item or property you want appraised.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit, we collect your IP address, your general location derived from it, your browser and device type, the pages you view, the site or search that sent you, and a recording of your visit as described in Section 6.

Information we do not ask for. We do not ask for your Social Security number, your bank or card details, or any government identification through this website. Please do not send those to us through a form on this site.

3. How We Use It

We use what you give us to respond to your request, to prepare a quote, and to carry out the appraisal if you hire us.

We use what we collect automatically to keep the site working, to understand which pages are useful, and to find and fix problems. A recording of a visitor who could not complete a form tells us something no page-view count can.

4. How We Contact You

If you send us a request, we reply to it. We may reach you by email, phone, or text message about that request. If you would rather we used a different method, or none at all, tell us and we will stop.

We do not send marketing messages to people who have not asked to hear from us, and we do not buy contact lists.

5. How We Share It

We share your information with the people who need it to answer your request and carry out your appraisal, and with the companies that run this website for us. Those are our website hosting, email, and analytics providers, and they may only use it to provide that service to us.

We do not sell your information. We share it when the law requires it, and not otherwise.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Session Recording

We use Fathom Analytics to count visits without using cookies and PostHog for session recording and to collect browser errors. We do not run advertising pixels on this site, and we do not use these tools to build an advertising profile of you.

Session recording. We record how visitors interact with this website so we can find and fix problems, such as a form that fails to submit. These recordings capture the pages you view, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and technical diagnostic information from your browser. They do not capture what you type. Everything you enter into a form, including your name, email address, and phone number, is masked before the recording leaves your browser, so we never see it in a recording. We do not record your screen outside this website, and we do not use these recordings to identify you personally. Recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you would prefer not to be recorded, most ad and tracker blocking browser extensions will prevent it, and you can ask us to delete recordings associated with you as described in Section 7.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including any recordings of your visits. You can email us at [email protected].

Your browser can block cookies and tracking scripts, and most ad and tracker blocking extensions will stop the analytics described in Section 6. The site works without them.

8. Retention

Session recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days.

We keep the details of your request for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record keeping obligations for work we have done. When we no longer need them, we delete them.

9. Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and the information you send through it is encrypted in transit. We limit access to your information to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, so we ask you not to send sensitive identification or financial details through this site.

10. Children's Privacy

This site is meant for adults seeking appraisal services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Other Sites and Changes

This site links to other websites we do not control. This policy does not cover them, and we suggest reading theirs.

We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed.
